INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS 

 

PUERTO RICO - US COLONY - Blue Beetle Solar Farm  - Feasibility Analysis for acquisition of 220 acres for the construction of a 26 MegaWatt solar plant in the Municipality of Barcelona in Puerto Rico– Travel to Puerto Rico to do a site assesment and reviewed all the existing documents and Environmental Impact Report provided that were prepared in Spanish. Summarized findings in English and provided a Feasibility Report with recommendations for acquisition and development. Below are exerts of the 35 page report. Site was ultimately acquired and the development of the plant is currently on hold – Blue Beetle LLC - Jeff Tallman

DREAMWORLD AMUSEMENT PARK - Fushun China - Preliminary Grading plan

As a member of the design team of the Goddard Group from North Hollywood and McCullough Landscape Architects from San Diego, Nieto prepared a preliminary site Grading and Drainage plan and train track alignment for a 200 acre amusement park with similarities to Disneyland both in its layout and quality to be constructed in Fushun China. Based on that preliminary design the Construction Documents were completed by the design team in China.  The site for the park has been graded and a portion of the amusement park has been completed and opened to the public in 2014 under a new name "HotGo Amusement Park"


 

 

TELECOMMUNICATION PROJECTS - In Country Project Manager for  Latin America Projects

While associated with a Civil Engineering firm David Evans & Associates and with the Developer, Global Crossings, Mr. Nieto served as the In Country Project Manager for the Acquisition of Land, Planning and Development of sites to bring a Fiberoptic cable line from the Pacific Ocean and to construct 30,000 sf buildings to house Telecommunication equipment. Obtained permits and assembled design teams in the Countries to prepare construction documents for bringing the fiber optic cable from the Pacific Ocean into Cities in Tijuana Mexico, Mazatlan Mexico, Panama City Panama, Caracas Venezuela, Malaga Bay Colombia, and Lurin Peru. All landings were competed and built. The fiberoptic line provides  Internet services to Cities in each of the Countries
